Today the mood was tense and nervous at first. Digit ruminated a lot at the beginning and once again attacked Brigitte. The interest in the setting and the painting implements seems to decrease steadily and their interaction time with them is getting shorter and shorter. Chicca and Madschabu show no interest at all, even when they are close to the setting. Fanny did not come today. Even though she did stroke for the first time last week, it didnÕt trigger her interest in joining again. This was more likely with the others. We decided to continue for a while. Maybe after a few weeks or months we will try to do some sessions with food rewards to observe how the chimpanzees will react when there is food involved. This has to be discussed with Carel van Schaik and Dieter Maurer first.
