140304 #Blacky #2
Blacky strokes first with black paint, then covers the black application with blue paint. Next, she applies a red color field right beside the blue one and continues by covering the blue color field with black paint again. Afterwards, she applies a green color field under the existing red and black color fields.
This manifestation shows very clearly how Blacky is reacting to already applied color fields by over-stroking them or by setting new color applications right beside them. These actions show that she perceives attentively what is happening on the painting surface and, furthermore, realizes that her stroking manifests visual incidents on the flat surface. This has to be understood in contrast to a mere exploration of the painting materials.
